Snowboarding goggles

A person who is intending on going down the mountain needs to have good snowboard goggles. Even though there are many nice kinds of snowboard goggles, it certainly is true that not all goggles fit people properly. There are a couple of different types of goggles a snowboarder can choose from. Lοok аt the major component of the snowboarding goggles first. Snowboarding goggles shοuld offer these types of bаsic importаnt protective elements to the wearer. Major component of the snowboarding goggles are:
  • anti-scrаtch coatings,
  • UV protection,
  • anti-fog coating,
  • adjustability,
  • lenses type (single/multiple layer)

Adjustability

Fixed - The goggles that are not adjustable are typically a little more than just goggles. Sometimes they can double as sunglasses. They often fit over the ears. Sometimes they also include a small elastic strap, but the strap does not adjust in an effective manner like those snowboard goggles that have truly adjustable straps do.

By wearing snowboard goggles, a snowboarder greatly increases the likelihood that he or she will be safe when going down the mountain. One of the main problems that those who do not wear goggles face is severely decreased visibility. Good snowboard goggles help ensure that this does not happen.

Adjustable - Adjustable goggles are the most popular. These snowboard goggles include an elastic strap on the back of them that is used to help hold the goggles firmly in place as a snowboarder flies down a hill. The nice thing about these goggles is that they can be adjusted. For example, if a person goes down the hill once while wearing a hat or a helmet, the goggles are probably going to need to be adjusted differently than they would be if the snowboarder were wearing nothing on his head.

Usually the straps on snowboard goggles are adjusted the same way a strap on a purse or a backpack would be adjusted. However, there are some snowboard goggles that are adjusted by Velcro or even by buttons.

Snowboarding goggle lenses

• Single/Dual Layer Lenses - Many goggles have multiple layers of lenses. Goggles with multiple lenses do not fog as fast as goggles with single lenses. In general, it is always better to buy goggles with multiple lenses.

Goggle Lenses coating

Anti-fog coating - Nothing is worse than having your snowboarding goggles fog up as you are trying to stay the course and remain safe. There are many snowboard goggles on the market that have anti-fog coating.

Lenses with UV protection - The combination of high altitude and the reflection of the Snow causes sun's rays to hit you much harder during Skiing or Snowboarding than during other extreme sports. UV rays can damage your eyes and cause Snow blindness. Lenses with UV protection protect your eyes from UV rays.
